uTorrent comes to Mac

One of the most popular BitTorrent application, uTorrent, has finally found its way to our Macs. It is officially available. This first official release is still beta, and Intel Macs only, and the developers are aware that it still may contain bugs. However, it looks great and I can’t wait to test it out.

Visit the site to uTorrent Mac to download it, and if you test it out let us know.

I have used Transmission as my torrent client for the last 2 years. I tested uTorrent and while it looks very nice and clean, it lacks certain key features that make me love transmission, such as having bandwidth speeds indicated in the dock, it’s so handy so see if that’s causing a bandwidth issue or not.

Second, It seems much harder to prioritize a certain file in a torrent package.

All in all, I’m sticking with Transmission.

Yeah I’m with you Scott — I still dig the simple, clean look of Transmission.
